Vote Gina Knapp for Blue Valley School Board

In her 4 years in office, Gina Knapp has advocated for support and funding of our kids’ Blue Valley Schools by traveling multiple times to Topeka - and even to Washington, D.C. - to talk with elected officials about how their votes impact funding here at home.

Her opponent, Steve Roberts, supports vouchers to divert funding from public schools to private ones.

Knapp has a comprehensive understanding of school district finances after 4 years on the BV Board and is CFO of a major corporation. Her opponent, Steve Roberts, says teachers should be paid better - but also states he believes “taxation is theft.” How would he pay teachers at ALL without taxes?

Roberts is best known for his shocking use of a racial slur in his position as an elected member of the State Board of Education (SBOE). In that position, he was also criticized for promoting his private tutoring business during a Board meeting. 

When the SBOE was discussing COVID-related issues with experts present for the discussion, Roberts took seven minutes to read aloud his list of “beliefs” - a rambling lecture entirely unrelated to the topic.

Roberts did not attend the Johnson County Post candidate forum, while Knapp, Dr. David Benson and Jim McMullen did attend.
