Voucher Backers don't want you to vote for Schmidt or Holscher

Candidates for KS Governor Vicki Schmidt (Republican) and Cindy Holscher (Democrat) have both said they don’t support vouchers or any voucher-like scheme (like the “tax credit scholarship program”) that robs funding from public schools. They don’t think public tax money should fund private schools.
That’s why voucher-backers are funding attack ads against Schmidt - one PAC recently said they plan to spend $2 MILLION to attack her - 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝘂𝗹𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘆 or the reason they 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 don’t want Schmidt in charge.
As reported in the Sunflower State Journal: “A federal political action committee largely financed by a billionaire who advocates for school choice launched an ad against Republican Insurance Commissioner Vicki Schmidt.” (But the ad says nothing about vouchers or “school choice.” That’s because this billionaire knows the majority of Kansans agree with Schmidt - and Holscher - on that issue.)
You’ll see escalating attack ads and social media posts against Schmidt and Holscher in the coming weeks. These attacks won’t address actual concerns that voters have. Instead, the barrage of negative ads will be designed to give voters a bad feeling about the candidates. Don’t be fooled.
If you want a governor who VALUES public education, and who won’t cave to billionaire voucher-backers, you have a good choice on either major political party’s primary ballot this August. Registered Democrats should vote for Cindy Holscher. Registered Republicans should vote for Vicki Schmidt. If you’re Unaffiliated, look over all the choices to decide what ballot you will ask for (More info on that at link in comments).
