A: They know she will support funding our kids’ public schools. And she WON’T support tax money going to private schools.

Americans For (their own) Prosperity actively works against public education. Why? For one, their billionaire backers don’t want to pay taxes, and public schools are funded with tax money. Secondly, their billionaire backers want to MAKE money off of educating our kids (only the ones they choose, mind you) so they want to privatize education through voucher-type programs.

𝘼𝙁𝙋 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨𝙣’𝙩 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙠𝙞𝙙𝙨, 𝙤𝙧 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙩𝙖𝙭𝙚𝙨. It’s about their secret billionaire backers. AFP isn’t required to disclose who funds them. They spend hundreds of thousands of dollars in Kansas each election cycle to back the likes of Ty Masterson, who as KS Senate President worked to avoid funding public schools and to give away tax money to private schools. They work year-round spreading lies about our schools and our kids to undermine voter confidence.

Now “a Washington-area dark money super PAC calling itself the “𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱” has dedicated $2 𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙤𝙣 to airing artificial intelligence-generated attack ads on Schmidt, the Kansas insurance commissioner, as she seeks the Republican nomination for governor in the Aug. 4 primary. If you haven’t heard of the School Freedom Fund, it’s an offshoot of the Club for Growth, a nationwide billionaire boys’ club that wants to privatize public education for profit.” (Wichita Eagle; link below.)

She values educating our children. She backed funding public schools as a KS Senator, and she’ll do it if elected Governor. She knows Kansans don’t want their tax money going to private, selective, unaccountable, religious schools - where the schools choose the kids. She’ll oppose any tax money diversion scheme.
