Stand Up Blue Valley is pleased to announce our endorsements in the Aug. 4, 2026 primary election in races for Kansas Legislature and Governor.

Unaffiliated voters: Be sure to vote NO. You may also declare a party affiliation at the time you request a ballot, and vote in that partyโs primary. (You may unaffiliate later if you wish to remain unaffiliated.)
Weโve already released our endorsements for KS Governor. On the Democratic ticket - KS Sen. Cindy Holscher. On the Republican ticket - KS Insurance Commissioner Vicki Schmidt. See links in comments to read about those, if you missed them.ย
Democratic voters: two BV-area House districts have contested primaries: HD 26 and HD 27. In each of these, there are two Democrats on the primary ballot; we have evaluated the candidates in each race and believe both candidates would serve our Blue Valley Schools well. We encourage voters to read about the candidatesโ positions on other issues to help make your decision. (See links below to candidate websites.)
Republican voters: State Board of Education District 3 has a primary race. Both candidates are well-known to be WRONG for Blue Valley Schools. We advise you to leave this race blank - do not vote for either one. (Fortunately there is an excellent Democratic candidate who weโll profile in our general election endorsements.)
In formulating our endorsements, candidates who have held public office were evaluated on their voting records, their actions and statements while in office, and their campaign donor lists. Candidates who have not previously held office were sent questionnaires and/or were interviewed.ย
Candidates were also evaluated on their affiliations with other groups and political action committees, and any prior/current active campaign support for other political candidates, policies, or politicians.
