2026 General Election Endorsements

We are pleased to announce our endorsements in the Nov. 3, 2026 general election including State Board of Education, Governor/Lt. Governor, KS Secretary of State, KS Attorney General, Kansas Legislature and Johnson County Commission.

In formulating our endorsements, we evaluated candidates who have held public office based on their voting records, their actions and statements while in office, and their campaign donor lists. Candidates who have not previously held office were sent questionnaires and/or were interviewed. Candidates who we have previously endorsed, if their positions have not changed, were endorsed again in this election. Incumbents or those who have previously held office, and who supported our Blue Valley students and schools while in office, were endorsed.

Candidates were also evaluated on their affiliations with other groups, and any prior/current active campaign support they gave to other political candidates, policies, or politicians.

Over the coming weeks, we will discuss each race, and detail how we made our decisions.

These pro-Blue Valley candidates need our support. Campaigning is a lot of work and costs money. We know from past elections that 𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙞-𝙥𝙪𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙘 𝙚𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙘𝙚𝙨, some well-financed, including Americans for Prosperity and Moms for “Liberty,” will be backing candidates who seek to undermine and destroy our public schools, if elected.

Each registered Blue Valley voter will have KS Gov/Lt. Gov, KS AG and KS SOS, ONE Kansas House candidate, and Johnson County Commission Chair on their ballot. Many BV voters live in State Board of Education District 3 and will vote in that race. There are two County Commission seats on BV-area ballots this year. Not every BV voter will have those races on their ballots; only Blue Valley residents in BOCC Districts 1 and 4 will vote on a County Commissioner in 2026.

Visit the websites for your candidates, donate, and sign up to help. Share their campaign Facebook pages on your social media. Putting a sign in your yard is very helpful - it reminds your neighbors to vote, and can open conversations about who you support.

Ensure your family members are registered to vote! College students should request a mail ballot as soon as they know their college address.
