Chris Mann started his career as a police officer; after being injured on the job by a drunk driver, he went to law school and worked as a prosecutor in Wyandotte County. During that time he worked to pass drunk driving legislation, was a national leader in drunk driving policy, and served on the board of Mothers Against Drunk Driving. The KS AGโs office may not seem to be directly related to public education. However, after we talked with Chris Mann about why he is running for office, we recognized there ARE very important connections between the work of the AG and the officeโs impact on our kidsโ schools and community. Ensure no politician, corporation, or special interest is above the law
Protect Kansas kids from unregulated online chatbots and threats
Prioritize and expand the AGโs Division of Youth Suicide Preventionย
Expand efforts to end the drug crisis

Before Kris Kobach, the current KS AG, did you ever spend much time thinking about who the KS AG was? Perhaps not. But ever since Kris Kobach has held the office, the KS AG is an embarrassment in the national headlines on a regular basis!
Blue Valley voters know the absolute nonsense and chaos current AG Kris Kobach has brought to our state for - really - decades while in, and running for, various offices. He has been the foot soldier and cheerleader for MAGA policies and claims, even to the detriment of Kansas. Just last week he made the news for taking improper campaign donations far in excess of whatโs allowed by law.ย
When Kobach was KS Secretary of State, he was found in contempt of court and ordered to pay a hefty fine. That was in a court case where he was trying to keep people from registering to vote! Kobach was ordered by a judge to complete remedial law courses! He has been one of the main mouthpieces for the conspiracy theorists claiming - without ANY evidence - that there is widespread election fraud.ย
As State AG, Kobach has harassed Kansas public school districts (not Blue Valley...yet) over culture war issues that MAGATs want to divert our attention to, to distract from the activities they are trying to get away with.ย
Alarmingly, ๐๐ผ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ต ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐น๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ด๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ฆ ๐ฆ๐๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐ ๐ฎ๐ด๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐๐ ๐๐ฆ ๐๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ when he appealed a lower Court ruling that restored the 3-day grace period for mail ballots (this appeal failed in court and the 3-day grace period is in effect).ย

We need to get Chris Mann elected and send Kobach packing! Kansas deserves an Attorney General who will work FOR our state and stop drawing national headlines for the wrong reasons. Chris Mann will work with Kansans, not against them. As KS AG, Mann will support our BV community's greatest assets: our children, their neighborhood public schools, and the educators who are helping to shape the next generation of Kansans.
