Jennifer Day is a former KS House Representative (District 48) and has volunteered as an election worker for 8 years. She has regularly volunteered with the League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan organization that works to encourage the informed and active participation of citizens in government. When Day served as a KS House Rep, she was a strong supporter of funding public schools, and she voted against voucher-style schemes. She was responsive to voters, participating in library forums and holding Town Halls open to the public. Day was a registered Republican until 2016 when she, along with other moderates, decided the Republican party had left her. (Before the Brownback era, many Kansas Republicans valued our public schools, were fiscally responsible, and generally believed in upholding the Constitution.)
Dayโs opponent, ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฐ๐๐ผ๐ฟ, ๐๐ผ๐๐น๐ฑ ๐ฏ๐ฒ ๐ฎ ๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ ๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ ๐ผ๐ณ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ. Proctor is a KS Representative from the Leavenworth area. He chairs the KS House Elections Committee. We posted recently about Proctorโs opposition to young women voting. Proctor plans to eliminate early voting and severely restrict mail ballots! On that particular post, we had comments from his current constituents that Proctor had removed comments and blocked them on his official Facebook page after they asked questions.

Without evidence, he has repeated lies about non-citizens voting. His statements about โballot harvestingโ imply that people with restricted mobility shouldnโt be allowed to have another person deliver their signed and sealed ballot for them.
