Unofficial Final Results for the BV School Board Election - along with our thanks!

This article was originally posted 11/05/2025 on SUBV Facebook page.

Congratulations to Dr. David Benson, Dr. Sonya Evans, and Gina Knapp.

Mail ballots that were postmarked by Election Day and received by Fri. Nov. 7 will be counted as they come in daily. Provisional ballots will be added to the totals once they are confirmed. So while all votes are not counted yet, each of the pro-public education candidates SUBV endorsed are now ahead by thousands of votes.

We greatly appreciate our members who helped distribute yard signs and hosted signs in their yards. Thank you to everyone who donated, shared our posts on social media, handed out literature to voters, and talked to friends. Most importantly, thanks to all who made sure to vote!

Our School Board election saw Blue Valley voters say NO to Moms For Liberty, extremism, and anti-public-school ideologies. We are confident that Dr. David Benson, Dr. Sonya Evans, and Gina Knapp will put students FIRST and competently manage their many responsibilities as Board members. When our kids win, our community wins.

Thank you for your support of our all-volunteer organization. It means a lot that community members continue to send messages and leave positive comments, reach out to help in many ways, and join us in advocating for Blue Valley Excellence.

So can we all sit back and relax now? Yes - and no.

Remember: the Kansas Legislature and Governor largely determine whether our kids’ schools are adequately funded. We’ll be #WatchingTheirVotes and reporting to you starting in mid-January, and informing voters about the importance of their votes to Blue Valley Schools for the 2026 legislative and Governor races. It will be a BIG year. Please check our page regularly for updates, follow us on Instagram at stand_up_blue_valley, or check our website periodically at StandUpBlueValley.org

Stand Up Blue Valley is here only because of you, our members. Thank you for being part of our advocacy efforts.
