Why don't the "vote yes" backers Trust Voters?

It seems like the “Vote yes” team doesn’t like their chances if they simply tell voters the truth and let them decide. First they put the judicial selection amendment on the August primary ballot (with a historically lower turnout that usually favors conservatives). Now they’ve copied the Vote NO signs.

Wonder why they don’t trust voters to make a decision based on the facts of the matter?
