Cindy Holscher has spent 10 years in KsLeg - first as a KS House Representative and currently as a state Senator. Holscher has a demonstrated voting record FOR our kidsโ public schools and Kansas communities. Holscher grew up attending public schools. Her three children attended Kansas public schools. While serving in KsLeg, Holscher regularly works as a substitute teacher in public schools when the legislature is not in session. Sheโs a cheerleader and champion for public education, which is the main reason she ran for office in the first place.
KC Ohaebosim was also elected to the KsLeg in 2016, and represents Wichita area-HD 89. Like Holscher, he is a strong supporter of Kansas public schools and has consistently voted in KsLeg for fully funding our kidsโ schools.ย

He is backed by anti-public education deep pockets including Americans for Prosperity (Their Own, NOT Yours). And heโs ๐ฆ๐ข๐ณ๐ฏ๐ฆ๐ฅ their support by voting and working against funding our kidsโ schools over and over and over. When you see a mailer, or TV ad, or social media ad โPaid for by Americans for Prosperityโ you know that dark-money group expects something in return.
Masterson, as KS Senate President, has ๐ฏ๐น๐ผ๐ฐ๐ธ๐ฒ๐ฑ legislation that would fund public schools. Instead, he has supported legislation that would give tax breaks to millionaires and corporations. Masterson ๐ฌ๐๐ค๐ก๐๐๐๐๐ง๐ฉ๐๐๐ก๐ฎ ๐จ๐ช๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ค๐ง๐ฉ๐จ ๐ซ๐ค๐ช๐๐๐๐ง๐จ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ซ๐ค๐ช๐๐๐๐ง-๐ก๐๐ ๐ ๐จ๐๐๐๐ข๐๐จ that divert tax money away from public schools and other public uses to private, often religious, and even for-profit schools. He parrots the false anti-public education talking points about โfailing public schoolsโ ๐ฌ๐๐๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐๐ก๐ฎ ๐ฌ๐ค๐ง๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฉ๐ค ๐๐๐จ๐ฉ๐ง๐ค๐ฎ ๐ฉ๐๐๐ข.ย
Masterson has gone beyond voting against funding public schools and blocking legislation that would support them. He has worked to change how the KS Supreme Court is seated - and if he is elected Governor, you can bet that will happen.
