Vote for Blue Valley Schools
Blue Valley voters have the opportunity in 2026 to elect a pro-public education Governor (Cindy Holscher), a pro-public education State Board of Education member (Amy Diediker), and to break the anti-public education supermajority in the state legislature by electing pro-public education Representatives in every Blue Valley House district!

County Commission members who value public education and are happy to say they do!
The parent volunteers of Stand Up Blue Valley donโt make endorsements in every race on your ballot - just the ones that directly impact our kidsโ schools and communities. Be sure to research the other races on your ballot before you go vote, because there are great candidates at the US level seats and other state level seats.
We endorsed candidates who did NOT vote to underfund our kidsโ schools (if already in office) and who WILL NOT vote for a state budget that doesnโt adequately fund schools. Who did NOT, or will not, support voucher schemes giving our tax dollars to private, unaccountable religious schools with no taxpayer oversight.
Why are all of our 2026 General Election endorsed candidates Democrats? Stand Up Blue Valley hasย endorsed many Traditional Republicans over the years - as recently as our endorsement of Vicki Schmidt for KS Governor this summer. This has been a significant problem since 2018. Some of Johnson Countyโs most effective Republican legislators have lost to MAGA candidates in Republican primaries over the past 8 years. Objectively, MAGA policy is bad for the neighborhood public schools that educate our children and anchor our community. Until that changes, weโre sorry to report that ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ก๐ข ๐ง๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐๐ฏ๐น๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ป๐ ๐ฟ๐๐ป๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐น๐๐ฒ ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐น๐น๐ฒ๐.Voters need to remember this when heading to the polls. If you consider yourself a Republican (like many of our members do) ask yourself - are you that kind of Republican?ย
Our volunteers have done the research, met with candidates, read questionnaire replies, watched forums, and recorded of votes of those who already hold office. Weโve made our case for every endorsement we made. If you missed the posts, you can read them on our website Blog - link in comments.
In a world where billionaires are sinking hundreds of millions of dollars nationwide into buying candidates to do their bidding, use YOUR vote to elect candidates who will do YOUR bidding. Candidates who will hold town halls open to the public while in office, who understand that Blue Valley Schools are the anchor of our thriving community, who will support our kidsโ educators and their future.
